# io.Insights

## Overview

**io.Insights** is a light-weight and agile solution for publishing [signals](https://opentelemetry.io/docs/concepts/signals/) (metrics, traces and logs) based on the widely adopted [OpenTelemetry](https://opentelemetry.io/docs/what-is-opentelemetry/) standard. It's implemented as a configurable built-in feature of **io.Connect Browser** and currently provides a wide array of default platform metrics.

The default data points it publishes can be enabled, disabled, or customized based on your specific business scenarios.
